KazNU hosted the Profession of the Future Fair
The al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the specialty fair "Future Skills Expo: future specialties". The event was attended by students of the KazNU school and college students who got acquainted with the work of the university's advanced research and innovation centers.
During the event, the participants clearly saw the work of modern equipment in the field of artificial intelligence, robotics, digital technologies and space research.
One of the leading centers visited by students and students as part of the tour is the Farabi Supercomputer Center. This complex is used for the development of digital twins, the development of artificial intelligence technologies, large-scale scientific calculations, management of IoT facilities and Smart technologies. The supercomputer allows the country's scientists to work with big data and conduct various simulations at the state level.
The participants also got acquainted with the work of the KUKA Robotics Engineering Competence Center. The center is aimed at training, retraining and advanced training of specialists based on automation, robotization, digitalization and artificial intelligence in the direction of industry 5.0. Research and development work is carried out here, prototypes of projects are developed and offered for commercialization.
Special attention was paid to the Huibo Robotics workshop in the program of the fair. The International Institute of Digital Technologies and Robotics and the Robotics Center have been officially opened on the basis of al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The center with a total area of 600 square meters is equipped with a virtual factory, a programming system for industrial robots, artificial intelligence and machine vision platforms, as well as Unitree Go2 Pro robots capable of performing complex bionic movements. Currently, the center employs 13 modern robots.
In addition, the participants got acquainted with the activities of the Farabi GIS and Farabi Space Research Centers, and also received extensive information about projects in the field of geographic information systems and space research.
The Future Skills Expo fair is aimed at increasing the interest of young people in science and technology through master classes, screenings and excursions.
