Quality Education and Historical Memory: A Museum Lesson at the House-Museum of Akhmet Baitursynov
In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 4, "Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all," Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is actively introducing educational approaches that integrate academic knowledge with educational, civic, and cultural activities.
In this context, first-year students from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics visited the House-Museum of Akhmet Baitursynov — a memorial museum dedicated to the outstanding scholar, educator, and public figure — under the guidance of K.Q. Kabdoldina, a senior lecturer from the Department of the History of Kazakhstan. The event aimed to expand the educational environment and deepen students’ historical awareness.
The museum visit fostered a respectful attitude toward national cultural and historical heritage, developed civic responsibility, and promoted an understanding of the role of education and science in sustainable societal development.
13 students participated in the event.
