On December 16, 2025, a patriotic event dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan titled “Kazakhstan: My Choice” was held at the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the participation of 1st–3rd year international students majoring in Economics.
The event took place in Conference Hall No.16 (SY).
The opening speech was delivered by the responsible organizer D.R. Turarov, who congratulated the participants on the national holiday and emphasized that Kazakhstan is a peaceful and stable country offering broad opportunities for education and personal development. He highlighted that such events help broaden young people’s perspectives and strengthen friendship between nations.
During the event, Najia Salihi, a second-year Economics student from Afghanistan, shared her experience of studying in Kazakhstan. She noted that the opportunity to study on a scholarship basis at Al-Farabi KazNU is crucial for her professional future and emphasized the country’s high-quality education, affordable living standards, safe environment, and language learning opportunities.
The event was held within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) and aimed at enhancing civic responsibility among youth, strengthening cooperation between society and the state, and promoting shared values of sustainable development.
