As part of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 17 "Partnerships for the Goals,"  From November 20 to 21, the Scientific and Practical Center “Daryn” of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the regional Department of Education, held the regional stage of the republican competition of scientific projects in general education subjects at the Abai Regional Specialized Boarding School in Almaty.

Within the framework of the competition, regional-level projects of students were presented in the fields of Ethnocultural Studies and Local History. Senior Lecturer of the Department of Archaeology, Ethnology, and Museology, Candidate of Historical Sciences K. Baudiarova, served as the chairperson of the jury in the Local History section. After listening to the projects of gifted students, she noted that many of them have significant potential for further development in the future.

These areas of study are represented at the Department of Archaeology, Ethnology, and Museology under the specialties Ethnology and Anthropology and Museology and Historical-Cultural Tourism. Following the project defenses, career guidance activities were conducted for 10th–11th grade students, and recommendations were given regarding their choice of future profession.
