For the first time 10 faculty members of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology became winners of the competition “The Best University Teacher - 2025”

Ten teachers from the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology won the “Best University Teacher – 2025” competition, which is a quarter (26%) of the 38 teaching staff who were awarded this title at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Thus, the percentage of faculty members who passed was 100%, which is a record for the faculty in all the years the competition has been held.

The competition this year recognized the best 150 teachers of 37 Kazakhstani universities. The contest involves a Prize in the amount of 2000 MCI. In addition to monetary incentives to the winners of the competition “The best teacher of the university” will be awarded a badge.

The competition is held annually to promote the prestige of the teaching profession and stimulate them to further professional development.

The contest evaluated such indices as preparation and publication of electronic teaching resources, teaching materials, scientific publications in national and international journals, patents for invention, etc. The quality of the applicant's teaching, his/her contribution to the training of personnel in bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs were also evaluated.
