Methodological Seminar within the Framework of the Winter School of the Higher School of Economics and Business
Within the framework of the traditional Winter School of the Higher School of Economics and Business, held from January 5 to 16, 2026, a methodological seminar entitled “Modern Pedagogical Practices, Digital Tools, and Innovations in Education and Teaching” was conducted with the participation of the faculty members.
The purpose of the methodological seminar was to enhance the professional and methodological competencies of the academic staff, facilitate the exchange of experience in implementing modern educational technologies, and improve the instructional and methodological support of educational programs.
The Winter School addressed the following key areas:
- methods for optimizing the educational process through the use of the JoVE platform;
- development and updating of interactive syllabi and course teaching and learning materials;
- expansion of digital educational technologies and interactive teaching methods in the learning process;
- mastering and implementing research-based teaching methods as a tool for modernizing the educational process;
- innovative formats for conducting final assessments.
During the seminar, presentations by leading instructors were delivered, practical examples of implementing innovative teaching methodologies were reviewed, and key issues related to the methodological support of the educational process were discussed.
The implementation of the methodological seminar within the Winter School demonstrated the high relevance and practical significance of such events. As a result of the Winter School, the seminar participants developed the following recommendations aimed at improving the educational process:
- to continue the practice of organizing methodological schools and seminars;
- to integrate the acquired methodological recommendations into the teaching process;
- to intensify efforts in the development and updating of teaching and learning materials.
