The activities of scientific centers are presented

The specially arrived guests attended the opening of the Innovation Center for the Development of Unmanned Aircraft, visited the scientific centers of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University and got acquainted with the university's infrastructure.

Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev told the members of the delegation in detail about the work of laboratories and research centers of the Farabi Hub Innovation Center. The main goal of the hub is to build partnerships with other universities, research institutes and private companies, as well as accelerate the implementation of scientific developments and technological ideas in the real sector of the economy. Equipped with modern equipment, scientific laboratories allow for research and experimental work in various fields of science and technology.

During the visit, the guests were introduced to industrial robots from the German company KUKA, used in the Robotics and Mechatronics Competence Center. The center provides training for qualified specialists in the field of robotics, as well as services for automation and digitalization of production processes.

In addition, a unique platform has been created here to study, demonstrate and test the concepts of robotization of technological operations in the framework of startup projects. Currently, the center cooperates with such large industrial companies as Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan and Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan. As part of the agreements concluded, the employees of the enterprises undergo advanced training and gain practical experience on the basis of the center.

The honored guests also got acquainted with the activities of the newly opened International Institute of Digital Technologies and Robotics and the Robotics Center. The rector of the university noted that this institute is an advanced educational space for mastering digital engineering and industrial robotics. Here, students learn how to model all stages of production processes in a digital environment, integrate them, and work with complex automated systems.
