Anniversary of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University: a celebratory event at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology

Yesterday, on January 15, 2026, we celebrated the anniversary of our university — Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU). At the request of the university leadership, each faculty held festive events dedicated to this significant day.

At the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology (BAZ-3), all members of the academic staff gathered together. During the meeting, the key achievements of our university were presented, and the faculty’s accomplishments were highlighted in detail by the Dean, Meruert Sakenovna Kurmanbayeva. Significant results of the faculty’s scientific, educational, and developmental activities were recognized.

In a warm and ceremonial atmosphere, congratulations were extended to all members of the academic staff, along with sincere wishes for success, new achievements, and productive work in the new academic and calendar year.

The event concluded with a campus tour, during which our scientists and staff visited the university’s modern facilities: the Supercomputer Center, robotics laboratories, and an innovation hub established on the initiative and with the support of our Rector, Zhanseit Kanseitovich Tuymebayev.
