Al-Farabi KazNU Faculty Members Participated in a Career Guidance Marathon at “Bobek” School: A Journey into the World of Professions
On January 16, 2026, a career guidance marathon was held at Bobek School — an inspiring meeting with students entitled “A Journey into the World of Professions” / “Choose a Profession — Choose Your Future!”.
The event aimed to support students in making conscious career choices, introduce them to representatives of various professions, and demonstrate real career paths through personal success stories. The marathon aligns with Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 — “Quality Education”, which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable access to education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities.
As part of the career guidance marathon, invited speakers —
Nazym T. Tulebayeva and Rashid O. Tazhiev,
faculty members of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University,
addressed the students.
The speakers shared their professional and academic journeys, discussed career choice, the importance of higher education, scientific activity, and continuous self-development. They also provided an in-depth introduction to the professions of logistics specialist and marketer, highlighting their role in the modern economy, key competencies, and career opportunities.
The interactive and open format of the event allowed students to broaden their understanding of the professional world, receive practical advice, and realize that quality education and a conscious life choice are essential foundations for personal and professional growth.
The career guidance marathon made a significant contribution to the implementation of the SDG “Quality Education” and supported students at a crucial stage of professional self-determination, emphasizing that choosing a profession today is an investment in tomorrow’s future.
