II International Scientific Conference was held

April 5-6, 2016, the II International Scientific Conference "Kazakhstan and Iran: in search of spiritual and cultural integration"was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Kazakhstan).

The conference worked in the following areas:

1.Kazahstan and Iran: historical and spiritual heritage, establishment and development of the historical-cultural and international relations;

2. Problems of Education and Science of Kazakhstan and Iran at the present stage;

3. A new stage in the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Iran in the sphere of politics and economics.

There were 26 speakers, 8 of them - foreign visitors, at the plenary session and sections of the conference. The reports of the University of Cambridge professor Ch.Melvill, rector of the University of Shahid Beheshti M.Tehranchi and professor of the University of Shahid Beheshti A.Hatami were especially interesting.

 The aim of the conference was the creation of a dialogue platform for in-depth discussion of a wide range of issues of history, current state and prospects of cooperation of Kazakhstan and Iran in the socio-political and humanitarian spheres in order to revive the lost once various connections between the two countries, as well as the development of multifaceted relations based on solid historical foundation, common cultural and spiritual values.
