Key directions of the country’s development and current issues of public life
On January 20, the fifth meeting of the National Kurultai began in Kyzylorda, at which the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, delivered a speech. Representatives of government bodies, public figures, experts, and members of civil society are taking part in the event. A total of 110 members of the Kurultai arrived from all regions of the country to participate in the events. From early morning, experts have been working in specialized sections, focusing on issues of education, science, and socio-cultural development.
Overall, within the framework of the National Kurultai, extensive work has been carried out in the process of implementing the President’s instructions. In the field of education and science, specific decisions have been made: scholarships and teachers’ salaries have been increased, differentiated grants and the “Keleshek” system have been introduced. An inter-university standard on artificial intelligence has been adopted, dozens of new educational programs have been launched, funding for science has been increased, and direct funding for scientific organizations has been introduced. The development of education and science was discussed. The main emphasis was placed on the widespread introduction of artificial intelligence into the educational process.
The National Kurultai plays an important role in the formation of democracy in the country. During the meeting, key issues related to the further economic and political development of Kazakhstan were comprehensively discussed.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the activities of the Kurultai continue to contribute to the implementation of the state’s strategic objectives and to strengthening trust between society and the authorities.
