Bloggers from Azerbaijan visited KazNU campus

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was visited by well-known bloggers of the Republic of Azerbaijan specializing in tourism and travel, Seymour Aliyev, Orkhan Aslanov and Ayaz Bayramli.

During the visit, the foreign guests visited the KazNU Museum for the first time, where they got acquainted with the rich history of the university, established scientific schools and achievements in the field of education. They examined valuable exhibits, archival documents and photographic materials that determine the path of development of the educational institution from its inception to the present day.

Then the delegation went to the joint Kazakh-Chinese laboratory of remote sensing technologies. The staff of the scientific institution presented to the guests modern scientific projects, innovative research in the field of space monitoring, geoinformation systems and the study of natural resources.

The bloggers observed the daily work processes of the laboratory and showed a special interest in the importance of research conducted using high technologies. The foreign guests also appreciated the equipment of other research centers of the university, examined academic buildings, infrastructure for students and a modern educational environment.

At the end of the visit, Azerbaijani bloggers shared their impressions on social networks and plans to present KazNU to a wide audience as a leading center of education and science and to assess the tourism potential of Almaty.
