An educational event dedicated to the Independence Day was held at the Faculty of geography and environmental management of KazNU. This event was organized within the framework of the 17th direction of the UN Sustainable Development Goals-the program "peace, justice and effective institutions".
The meeting was held among students of the educational programs hydrology, tourism and geography. The main purpose of the event was to strengthen the spirit of patriotism of students, increase respect for the history of the country, national values, as well as popularize the values of civic responsibility, justice and social harmony.
The event was held on the theme "Менің жүрегім – Қазақстан" and was organized in the form of artistic and creative expression of love for the country through wall painting among students. The educational program was organized at the highest level by Associate Professor of the Department of history of Kazakhstan, doctor of historical sciences Gulzhazira Estaevna and teacher Zhuldyz Bekbauova.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Dean for educational, methodological and educational work of the Faculty of geography and environmental management Aiman Shakenovna, who noted the importance of such events in the formation of the principles of peace, justice, the rule of law and public responsibility among young people.
During the evening, students played a Kui with a dombra and sang the song "Желтоқсан желі". These scenes made it possible to deeply experience the historical lessons of the December 1986 events and clearly demonstrated the spiritual value of the struggle for independence.
This event not only increased the creative potential of students, but also made a great contribution to the formation of their national consciousness, strengthening their civic position, as well as promoting the ideas of building a peaceful society in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
