KazNU winner of the grant «Тәуелсіздік ұрпақтары»
Senior lecturer of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, PhD Arailym Yessenbekova became the winner of the state grant «Тәуелсіздік ұрпақтары» in 2025.
The Generation of Independence grant was created in 2021 on the initiative of the Head of State to support talented and promising youth. 30 people received a grant in the amount of 3 million tenge. The winners were congratulated by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva.
The scientific project presented by Arailym Yesenbekova is aimed at studying the molecular mechanisms of endothelial dysfunction in micro- and macroangiopathies that occur with complications of diabetes mellitus.

In 2024, under the guidance of Candidate of Biological Sciences, Professor Nurzhanat Abylaykhanova and foreign Professor Irina Rusanova (Granada, Spain), Arailym Yessenbekova defended her doctoral thesis and received a PhD degree from both countries.
As part of an international partnership, together with researchers from the University of Granada in Spain, Arailym participated in the implementation of scientific projects in the laboratory "Intercellular Communication CTS-101" of the Center for Biomedical Research. As a result of five years of collaboration with a professor at a foreign university, she has published several articles in the journal Web of Science, part of the Q1 group, and in the Scopus database, which has high CiteScore scores.

Since 2018, he has been working as a senior lecturer at the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience. The young researcher is the winner of the KazNU Best Young Scientist program, as well as the recipient of the 500 Scientists scholarship under the Bolashak program.
Currently, Arailym Yessenbekovna is the project manager for the Young Scientist program for 2025-27, funded by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which supports the research of young scientists.
