The issues of science development are considered

Meetings aimed at strengthening the university's competitiveness in the international scientific space were held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the basis of the Higher School of Economics and Business, as well as the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology.

During the meetings, Kuanysh Tastambek, Director of the Department of Science and Innovation at KazNU, analyzed the scientific indicators of the university and faculties in international rankings and focused on the areas of further development of research activities. Sharing the experience of leading foreign universities, he voiced a number of specific proposals to improve the quality of scientific papers.

The main issues discussed were: publication of joint scientific articles with foreign and domestic scientists; increasing the number of publications in journals indexed in international scientific databases; increasing citation rates; strengthening the potential of scientific staff.

Special attention was paid to the need to support young scientists, ensure the active participation of doctoral and undergraduate students in scientific projects and improve their quality.

At the end of the meeting, scientists and teachers discussed current issues of scientific activity, made suggestions for the implementation of research projects and the preparation of publications, and shared plans for the coming period.
