An Extended Meeting with the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activity Was Held at the Faculty of Physics and Technology. SDG 9

An extended meeting was held at the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized by the Department of Science and Innovation Activity, with the participation of the Member of the Management Board – Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activity.

During the meeting, key issues related to the development of the Faculty’s research potential, the current status of scientific projects and publication activity, as well as the training of scientific personnel, were discussed. Particular attention was paid to актуal challenges in scientific research, improving the quality of publications in leading international scientific databases, and increasing the participation of academic staff and researchers in competitive grant programs.

The meeting was attended by Vice-Deans, Heads of Departments and their Deputies, academic staff members, associate professors, and research professors. The event concluded with a question-and-answer session, during which participants received clarifications on relevant issues and put forward proposals for the further development of the Faculty’s scientific and innovative activities.

The organization of this meeting contributes to the strengthening of research infrastructure, the development of a supportive research environment, and the enhancement of research effectiveness. These outcomes are directly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.
