Broad discussion of the New Constitution held at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

On 2 February 2026, a meeting dedicated to discussing the New Constitution was held at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the meeting, each clause of the New Constitution was reviewed individually, and participants exchanged views on the proposed norms and wording. The discussion was conducted in an open format, with attendees sharing their positions and suggestions.

Key points raised included the precision of wording, mechanisms for implementing legal provisions, and the potential impact on public life. Participants also addressed clauses related to citizens’ rights and freedoms, support for education and science, social issues, environmental safety, and the sustainable use of natural resources. Attention was additionally given to terminological consistency and overall clarity of the text.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Kurmanbayeva Meruert Sakenovna, Deputy Deans Datkhabayeva Gauhar Kubenovna (Acting Associate Professor), Qusmangazinov Adil Bolatuly (Acting Associate Professor), and Dauletbayeva Saniya Bolatovna (Senior Lecturer), as well as department heads: Sarsekeeva Fariza Qudaibergenovna (Associate Professor), Professor Akhtayeva Nursulu Ziyakhanovna, Professor Kustubayeva Almira Melsovna, Associate Professor Zhunusbayeva Zhazira Kabulovna, and Kegenova Gulnar Bolatkyzy, PhD.

At the end of the meeting, the proposals and remarks were summarized and will be organized in accordance with established procedures.
