“National Values Week” (Promotion of Traditions and Customs, National Clothing Day)
On February 6, 2026, in accordance with the ideological plan of the Faculty of Philology, the “National Values Week” educational event was organized by the lecturer and advisor of the Department of Turkology and Language Theory, Akzhigitova Araylym, with the participation of 1st-year students of 6B01101 - “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages.” The purpose of the event was to promote national traditions and customs among students, introduce the culture of national clothing, and enhance respect for cultural values.
During the event, students wore traditional costumes and participated in the game “Complete the National Proverb.” This game allowed students to recall proverbs and demonstrate their knowledge of traditions. Students actively shared their opinions and showed initiative. The event took place in a fun and engaging atmosphere, contributing to students’ cultural awareness and fostering patriotic feelings. Such educational events help strengthen students’ respect for cultural heritage and develop teamwork skills.
At the end of the event, it was emphasized that preserving national traditions and customs is an important duty of every citizen.
