Seminar-training “Proper Nutrition and Lifestyle”
On February 9, 2026, at the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Evidence-Based Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine and Health care, under the guidance of Senior Lecturer, PhD (Candidate of Medical Sciences) G.A. Arynova, within the framework of implementing Sustainable Development Goal No. 3 “Good Health and Well-being”, an educational training seminar on the topic “Proper Nutrition and Lifestyle” was conducted. The event was organized jointly with 4th-year students of the educational program “Public Health”, Aitbek Nazerke and Baurzhankyzy Merei. Students of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years of the specialty “Public Health” took part in the training seminar (total number – 52 students).
The main objective of the training was to increase students’ knowledge of the principles of rational nutrition and the scientific foundations of a healthy lifestyle, as well as to explain the impact of healthy habits on health status. During the event, the following topics were discussed: the basic principles of proper nutrition; the balance of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates; the importance of dietary regimen; drinking regime; physical activity; the role of adequate sleep; and the impact of harmful habits on the human body. The discussion was based on specific examples and case assignments. The training was conducted in an interactive format and was distinguished by a high level of activity and engagement of the participants.
