A delegation of scientists and teachers from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in the international educational program "China-Central Asia Advanced Computing Training Program".

The project, implemented on the basis of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in China, has become an important stage in strengthening scientific and educational cooperation between China and the countries of Central Asia.

The program brought together experts from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. KazNU provided the organization and coordination of participation by the head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, Professor Madina Mansurova.

The training covered the most relevant areas of the modern IT industry: high-performance (HPC) and parallel computing, artificial intelligence (Edge AI, LLM), computer vision and quantum technologies. The lecturers were the leading professors of HUST. In addition to the theoretical part, the participants visited the laboratories of the university and the Wuhan Supercomputing Center, where they got acquainted with the work of the most powerful computing infrastructure.

At the closing ceremony, the delegates presented the practical results of the training. Aman Musa and Bazargul Matkerim delivered welcoming speeches on behalf of KazNU. Doctoral student Nurdaulet Teshebayev demonstrated the work of a robot developed within the framework of the Robot Dog Project module, which confirmed the high level of mastering applied skills.

At the end of the course, the participants were awarded honorary HUST certificates and state certificates of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China (MOST).
