Kindness and charity are measures of humanity- An open curatorial lesson

Topic: “Kindness and Compassion as a Measure of Humanity”

Organizer: Lecturer of the Department of Cybersecurity and Cryptology Dina Kuandykova and third-year students of the Information Security Systems program.

Purpose of the event:
– To explain to students the meaning of the concepts of kindness and compassion;
– To foster the development of moral and ethical qualities;
– To encourage benevolence, kindness, and the desire to do good deeds.

Course of the event:
The lecturer explained the meaning of kindness and compassion and emphasized their role in human life. Quotations from great thinkers as well as proverbs and sayings were presented and discussed with the students.

In the main part, students actively participated and freely expressed their opinions. Group work was organized: students were divided into several groups, each of which prepared and presented a poster on the given topic. During the tasks, students demonstrated creativity and developed teamwork skills.

Final part:
At the end of the event, a reflection session was conducted. Students answered the question “What good deed can I do?” and shared their thoughts. Most students expressed their intention to help their parents, support friends, show respect to elders, and provide assistance to those in need.

Results:
• Students understood the importance of kindness and compassion;
• Attitudes toward moral and ethical values were formed;
• The level of cooperation and mutual respect increased;
• Activity and a sense of responsibility were demonstrated.

Conclusion:
The curatorial hour achieved its objectives. Students actively participated in the event and gained a deeper understanding of the significance of spiritual and moral values. It is planned to continue organizing similar educational and value-oriented activities in the future.
