Theater Visit and Discussion of Spiritual and Moral Values in the Context of SDG 16 - Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

12 february, 2026

On February 12, 2026, in accordance with the ideological plan of the faculty, the adviser of the Department of Turkology and Language Theory, Akzhigitova Araylym, and the senior adviser, Ashirkulov Kanat, organized a collective visit to the theater for first-year students. The students attended a performance based on N.V. Gogol's play The Inspector General.

Through a satirical approach, the performance depicted social issues such as injustice, abuse of power, official irresponsibility, false reputation, and corruption. The events of the literary work allowed students to compare the historical period with contemporary social situations, contributing to the development of a critical perspective on social phenomena.

Following the performance, students participated in a discussion, analyzing the moral choices of the characters and highlighting the importance of concepts such as justice, conscience, honesty, and responsibility. During the exchange of opinions, each student expressed their point of view, fostering a culture of free expression. The dialogue-style discussion enabled the practical application of tolerance and mutual respect principles.

This activity aimed to strengthen the students’ spiritual and moral values, increase their social engagement, and develop legal awareness. Special emphasis was placed on the necessity for future professionals to maintain honesty and professional ethics.

Organizers: Adviser of the Department of Turkology and Language Theory, Akzhigitova Araylym; Senior Adviser, Ashirkulov Kanat; first-year students of the 6B01706 educational program - “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages”.
