Study of the genetic diversity of the pathogenic microorganism Yersinia pestis circulating in natural foci of plague in Kazakhstan based on molecular-genetic methods and improvement of laboratory monitoring of plague

On February 9, 2026, at 15:00, at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a preliminary defense of the dissertation work of Abdeliev Bek Ziyatovich, who was nominated for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) under the educational program "8D05104-Genetics" on the topic "Study of the genetic diversity of the pathogenic microorganism Yersinia pestis circulating in natural foci of plague in Kazakhstan based on molecular-genetic methods and improvement of laboratory monitoring of plague", was held. During the preliminary defense, the doctoral student presented the relevance of the dissertation work, its goals and objectives, the object and methods of research, as well as the main results obtained. The questions posed by the teaching staff of the department and the participants were comprehensively answered, and comments and suggestions were made on the content of the research work.
