KazNU researchers awarded the "Best Researcher – 2025" award

Six scientists of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University have become laureates of the "Best Researcher – 2025" award.

Among them are Gulzagira Atakhanova, Dosbol Baygunakov, Gulzhaukhar Kokebayeva, Almagul Kurmanova, Alexander Ryaguzov and Irina Savitskaya.

The awards were presented at the ceremony honoring the laureates of prizes in the field of science and state scholarships by Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulzat Kobenova.

The purpose of the competition is to support and encourage researchers who have made a significant contribution to the development of science and technology, as well as to stimulate research activities.

In 2025, the competition received 358 applications in seven areas: "Natural Sciences", "Engineering and Technology", "Medicine and Healthcare", "Social Sciences", "Humanities and Arts", "Agriculture and Veterinary medicine", "Military Sciences and national Security".

According to the results of the work of the republican competition commission, the "Best Researcher – 2025" award was awarded to 50 scientists who have made a significant contribution to the development of national science.
