14 february, 2026

On February 14, 2026, under the initiative of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies of the Faculty of Philology, first-year doctoral student of the Foreign Philology program Kairova D.O., together with the group advisor Aushenova A.S., conducted an open advisory hour for second-year students of the educational program “6B02303 – Foreign Philology” on the topic “Climate Change and Its Impact on Human Life.” The purpose of the session was to develop students’ environmental awareness, explain the causes and consequences of climate change, and expand their knowledge of its social, economic, and health-related impacts on human life.

The advisory hour was organized in an interactive format and was attended by 10 students. During the session, the main causes of climate change (industrial emissions, the impact of transportation, deforestation, and environmental pollution) and its consequences (global warming, the increasing frequency of natural disasters, water scarcity, and food shortages) were thoroughly discussed. In the practical part, students analyzed the impact of climate change on human life, completed tasks on distinguishing between causes and effects, and actively expressed their opinions while proposing ways to enhance environmental responsibility in the future.

During the session, students recognized the importance of environmental protection and the need for a responsible attitude toward climate change. The advisory hour was conducted at the planned level and successfully achieved its objectives.
