Inclusive Education: Equal Opportunities for All
On February 10, 2026, the faculty members of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Substances, Natural Compounds and Polymers - Associate Professors Urkimbayeva P.I., Rakhmetullayeva R.K., Toktabayeva A.K., Kenessova Z.A., and Senior Lecturers Makhayeva D.N. and Alikulov A.Zh. - held an event for 2nd-4th year students on the topic “Inclusive Education: Equal Opportunities for All.”
The invited speakers were specialists in educational work from the Center “Inclusive Environment” at Farabi University: Sailauov Asset, Rakhimova Adeliakhanim, and Turlykozha Temirlan.
During the event, the speakers conducted an awareness session for students, emphasizing that inclusion is not limited to health-related issues. Inclusion concerns everyone, as at different stages of life any person may find themselves in a vulnerable situation.
Particular interest was generated by team-building games and interactive activities, which helped students better understand the importance of mutual support, respect, and equal opportunities.
The event is directly linked to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 - Quality Education (ensuring inclusive and equitable education); SDG 10 - Reduced Inequalities (creating equal opportunities for all); SDG 16 - Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (promoting a culture of respect and tolerance).
We believe that fostering an inclusive environment at the university is an important step toward building a fair and sustainable society.
