"Language of instruction and communication: Russian for Turkmen students"
On February, senior lecturer at the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature Nazgul Tilepbergenovna Edrenova, together with students of the specialty "History", conducted an educational event dedicated to the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 "Quality Education", on the topic: "Language of instruction and communication: Russian for Turkmen students".
The purpose of the meeting was to develop the students' communicative competence, increase their proficiency in Russian as the language of instruction and intercultural interaction, as well as create a favorable academic environment for the adaptation of foreign students.
During the event, the issues of the role of the Russian language in the educational process, the specifics of academic and everyday communication at the university, as well as the importance of language training for successful academic and professional activities were discussed. The students took part in interactive tasks, dialogue practices, and discussions aimed at developing speaking skills, understanding educational texts, and conducting discussions.
Special attention was paid to the development of intercultural dialogue, the expansion of vocabulary and the formation of confidence in the use of the Russian language in the learning environment. The participants showed activity, interest and willingness to further improve their language skills. The event helped to strengthen the principles of affordable and high-quality education, support the academic integration of Turkmen students and increase motivation to learn Russian as a means of professional and intercultural communication.
