“Destiny that is closely connected with writing”

On February 12, 2026, the Faculty of Philology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted “Destiny that is closely connected with writing” creative evening dedicated to the writer Magzom Sundetov.   The main purpose of the event was to honor the literary legacy of the writer, enhance young people’s interest in fiction, and promote spiritual values. During the evening, the writer’s work was analyzed comprehensively, discussing the ideological and artistic features of his creations and their educational significance. Participants read excerpts from his works and conducted literary analyses.

The event was attended by the Head of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory Samal Daribaiuly, Professor Z.Seitjanov, Professor R.Abdikulova, and E.Karibozov, who emphasized the importance of the creative evening and shared insightful thoughts with the students.

The organization of the evening was facilitated by Assistant Professor of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory Tleubaev Sovetkhan Baianuly, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory, first-year master’s students in Literary Studies, and third-year students majoring in Kazakh Language and Literature.

This creative meeting served as an informative and spiritually enriching experience for the students, broadening their literary horizons and fostering respect for national literature.
