Curatorial Hour “Waste Sorting as a Modern Lifestyle” (SDGs 12, 13, 11)
An open curatorial hour on the topic “Waste Sorting as a Modern Lifestyle” was held at the Faculty of Physics and Technology within the framework of the environmental initiative “Taza Kazakhstan.” The curatorial hour was conducted by Dinara Bakhyzhanqyzy Almen, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Electronics and Astrophysics.
During the event, актуal environmental issues related to the increasing volume of household waste were discussed, as well as the importance of separate waste collection for environmental protection and sustainable development of society.
Students were provided with information on the principles of waste sorting, its main categories (plastic, glass, paper, metal), and recycling opportunities. Special attention was given to the development of environmental culture, responsible consumption, and the role of youth in implementing environmental initiatives. The session included discussion and exchange of opinions aimed at fostering students’ active civic engagement.
