The 1st-year doctoral student of the Finance Department conducted a curatorial hour for undergraduates
First-year doctoral student of the «Finance» program of the Department of «Finance and accounting», Dnimova Zh.Sh., within the framework of her teaching practice, conducted a curatorial educational session for master's students on the topic: “Students’ Financial Literacy as a Factor of Sustainable Socio-Economic Development” (based on: SDG 1 — No Poverty; SDG 4 — Quality Education; SDG 8 — Decent Work and Economic Growth; SDG 10 — Reduced Inequalities).
Within this topic, the main objectives were revealed: to develop an understanding of the relationship between financial literacy and sustainable development of society and the economy; and to form responsible financial behavior as a civic competence. The skills of financial analysis of personal decisions were also considered; socio-economic consequences were evaluated; and critical thinking was developed.
As a result, master's students: understood the role of financial literacy in poverty reduction; saw the connection between personal finance and the national economy; learned to analyze financial decisions from the perspective of sustainable development; recognized financial literacy as a social responsibility.
