The Department of Finance and Accounting of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Delivered Guest Lectures for Students of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn

The development of international academic cooperation between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation, has received further practical implementation through a series of guest lectures organized for students of the Finance educational program.

From January 26 to February 25, 2026, a series of online lectures within the course Tax Administration was conducted for fourth-year students of Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn. The lectures were organized by the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting. The guest lecture series was delivered by PhD, Associate Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Gulmira Nesipbekovna Appakova.

During the lectures, modern approaches to tax administration, the specifics of the tax policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and a comparative analysis of tax procedures were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the digitalization of tax control and international practices aimed at ensuring compliance with tax legislation. The students demonstrated a high level of academic engagement and actively participated in professional discussions, contributing to the expansion of their knowledge and the development of practical understanding of current trends in tax system development.

Earlier, from November 1 to November 30, 2025, within the framework of academic cooperation, Associate Professor Tamara Sabyrovna Imralieva of Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn delivered guest lectures for students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The implementation of such guest lectures contributes to the further expansion of cooperation between the universities in educational and scientific activities.
