Event Held on the Topic “Current Environmental Issues”
On March 2, 2026, at 13:00 in Room 412, a scientific and educational event titled “Current Environmental Issues” was organized by the Kazakh groups of 3rd-year students of the Department of Biotechnology.
The event was supervised by PhD Doctor G. Doktyrbay, Lecturer of the Department of Biotechnology.
Participants included R.K. Sydykbekova, Candidate of Biological Sciences and Lecturer of the Department of Biotechnology, as well as 3rd-year students of the Kazakh groups of the Department of Biotechnology.
During the event, contemporary global environmental problems were widely discussed, including climate change, biodiversity loss, environmental pollution, and the rational use of natural resources. Particular attention was paid to the role of biotechnology in ensuring environmental sustainability and the importance of green technologies.
Students actively shared their opinions and raised scientific questions. The discussion-based format of the meeting contributed to enhancing students’ environmental responsibility and fostering their scientific interest.
The event became an important step toward developing environmental awareness among young people and promoting the principles of sustainable development.
