3 march, 2026

Within the framework of Gratitude Day celebrated on March 1 and in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 — “Quality Education”, an open curatorial educational session titled “Gratitude to the Teacher — Respect for Knowledge” was held on March 3, 2026 at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was organized for second-year students of the Kazakh group of the “Computer Engineering” program at the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Department of Computer Science.

The event was conducted in accordance with the wise words of the great thinker Abu Nasr Al-Farabi: “Knowledge without education is the enemy of humanity.” The main objective of the curatorial session was to foster students’ respect for the work of teachers, highlight the interconnection between education and upbringing, and strengthen the spiritual continuity between teacher and student.

The open lesson was organized in the format of a blitz interview titled “Teacher and Student”, which made the meeting engaging and meaningful. During the discussion, teachers and students shared their views on the value of education, the importance of the teaching profession, professional responsibility, and mutual respect. Students expressed sincere gratitude to their teachers and emphasized their significant role in personal development and professional guidance.

The event was attended by distinguished guests from the faculty and department:

– Deputy Dean for Social and Educational Work, Senior Lecturer G.G. Gaziz;

– Deputy Dean for Academic and Methodological Work A.A. Sametova;

– Deputy Head of the Department for Academic, Methodological and Educational Work N.B. Zakariyanova.

In their speeches, the guests highlighted the important role of the teaching profession in society and wished the students perseverance and success in their educational journey. The event took place in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect and trust between teachers and students.

In conclusion, the open curatorial session contributed to strengthening students’ moral and spiritual values and increasing their responsibility toward education. It once again demonstrated that expressing gratitude to teachers is a true reflection of respect for knowledge.
