A Book Festival Was Held at the University: the ‘Oqyrman University’ Book Fair

On March 2, the book fair entitled “Oqyrman University,” organized by the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, was held at a high level and became a meaningful and spiritually enriching event. Conducted within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 — ensuring quality education and promoting lifelong learning — the event created a true celebration of books within the university walls.
Faculty members, students, master’s and doctoral candidates who attended the fair showed great interest in the books and thoroughly explored the new and educational publications presented by the publishing houses. Throughout the day, the stands of “Qasym Kitap,” “Otbası Khrestomatiyasy,” and “Marfu Press” remained at the center of readers’ attention. Many participants selected the books they needed and enriched their intellectual and spiritual collections.
During the event, meaningful discussions were held on the role of books in society, reading culture, and the importance of quality education. The enthusiasm and active participation of the attendees further highlighted the significance of the occasion. The strong interest of university youth in reading and their intellectual engagement was especially inspiring.
