At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Faculty of Law organized an event entitled “Environmental Protection through the Rights and Responsibilities of Citizens” within the framework of the “Clean Kazakhstan” campaign. The event was initiated by the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law and aimed at promoting environmental awareness and responsibility among students.

The main purpose of the event was to enhance legal culture in the field of environmental protection, to develop citizens’ environmental responsibility, and to promote the principles of sustainable development in society. During the meeting, participants discussed current issues of environmental law, the rights and responsibilities of citizens in protecting nature, the importance of public responsibility in environmental conservation, as well as the key aspects of the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was opened by the Head of the Department, Doctor of Law, Professor G.A. Kuanalieva, who emphasized the importance of ensuring environmental safety in the modern world.
