A seminar-training on the topic «Finding a journal for publication» was held

On March 12, 2026, the Department of Science and Innovation Activity organized a seminar-training on the topic "Finding a journal for publication" in the E. Ergozhin Conference Hall of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology.

The speaker of the seminar-training was Rabiga Kozhamkul, a consultant for the Informascope company in Central Asia. During the event, participants were provided with information on how to correctly select an appropriate journal for publishing in international scientific journals. Tools for searching journals in the Scopus database and journal metrics, specifically CiteScore indicators, percentiles, and quartiles, were explained. Furthermore, opportunities for "free" publication of scientific articles were considered, and methods for the effective use of the ScienceDirect platform in the process of searching for scientific articles and journals were presented.

The seminar-training was attended by the faculty members and doctoral students of the university, who received answers to pressing questions regarding publishing in international scientific journals.
