An explanatory lecture on countering religious extremism was held

Yerimbet Ramzan Edilbekuly, a doctoral student at Al Farabi Kazakh National University, gave an explanatory lecture on countering extremism at Al Farabi School №145 in Almaty within the framework of peaceful justice and effective institutions for Sustainable Development Goals.

It is organized in order to prevent extremism and radicalism among young people, and to improve legal and religious literacy. The event was attended by schoolchildren and teachers, and issues of security and stability in society were discussed.

During the lecture, the youth explained in detail the danger of extremism and terrorism for society, the causes of its occurrence and Ways to prevent it. Special attention was paid to the threat of the influence of radical ideas currently spreading through the Internet and social networks on the consciousness of young people. The students were also told about the need to perceive information correctly, avoid questionable sources, and develop critical thinking.

During the meeting, the participants were provided with information on the ongoing work on countering extremism and terrorism within the framework of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The issues of legal responsibility were explained to the students, and it was noted that maintaining peace and stability in society is the responsibility of every citizen.

The lecture was held in an interactive format, students asked their questions and received specific answers from specialists. Such meetings broaden the worldview of young people and promote an informed approach to diverse information in society.

At the end of the event, the school administration noted the importance of holding such preventive meetings and noted that work on educating the spiritual and moral values of young people and preserving peace and harmony in society will continue in the future.
