Open Educational Hour: “National Heritage – A Legacy for Future Generations”*
On March 13, 2026, an open educational hour was held under the supervision of Senior Lecturer S.M. Narbayeva from the Department of Cybersecurity and Cryptology. The event was organized by master’s students of the *Information Security Systems* program, D.A. Yesirkegenov and U.Ya. Kakhramanov, with the participation of first-year students.
The main purpose of the event was to promote the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the Kazakh people, analyze the importance of national values in educating the younger generation, and explore ways to preserve them in modern society.
During the session, students were introduced to the concept of national heritage, different types of traditions and customs, and the educational value of traditional crafts and oral folklore. In addition, a discussion titled *“National Values in the Era of Globalization: Threats and Opportunities”* was organized, where students shared their views on the legacy of their ancestors and the role of youth in preserving and passing it on to future generations.
The event was aimed at:
1. Developing a sense of patriotism among students;
2. Enhancing critical thinking and forming an informed worldview;
3. Understanding the social and spiritual significance of national identity and cultural heritage.
