Teachers, doctoral students, and students of the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics of the Faculty of Physics and Technology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University visited the Special Boarding School No. 4 for blind and visually impaired children named after N. Ostrovsky. The visit took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere and became part of the university’s social and educational outreach activities.

The main purpose of the meeting was to communicate with the pupils, create a positive and supportive environment, and organize educational and creative activities. Such initiatives contribute to the development of social responsibility among students and faculty members and promote humanistic values in society.

The event began with welcoming remarks from the university representatives. The opening speech was delivered by Farida Beksultanovna Belisarova, Deputy Head of the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics for academic, methodological, and educational work, Professor. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of such meetings and noted that the university community is always ready to support social initiatives and contribute to the development of an inclusive environment.

An engaging and diverse program was prepared for the pupils. One of the highlights of the event was the musical part. Students performed several pieces on traditional musical instruments and presented vocal performances. The musical program created a warm atmosphere and brought positive emotions to the children.

Particular interest among the pupils was sparked by an interactive game dedicated to the sounds of the surrounding world. During the activity, participants listened to various sounds—animals, natural phenomena, machinery, and musical instruments—and tried to identify their sources. The children actively participated, demonstrating attentiveness, strong listening skills, and excellent auditory memory.

In addition, an educational quiz was organized, including questions about nature, space, sounds, and the environment. The pupils enthusiastically answered the questions, showed curiosity, and actively engaged in discussions.

The creative program continued with further musical performances by the students, who presented both vocal and instrumental pieces. Music became an important part of the event, creating a joyful and friendly atmosphere.

At the end of the event, representatives of the faculty presented the children with memorable gifts—T-shirts with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University logo and small souvenirs. The meeting concluded with a group photo and words of gratitude for the warm welcome.

Such initiatives are of great importance both for the pupils of the school and for the university community. They foster empathy, social responsibility, and mutual support, and contribute to the development of an inclusive and compassionate society.
