On March 13, 2026, the S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University hosted the Foreign Languages Week under the theme “World of Languages: Intelligence. Innovation. Integration.”
The main goal of the week was to increase students’ interest in learning foreign languages, develop intercultural communication, and strengthen international cooperation. Throughout the week, a series of academic, educational, and cultural events were organized, providing students with opportunities to enhance their knowledge and demonstrate their creative potential.
At the closing ceremony, the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, Candidate of Philological Sciences Zhannur Isina, summarized the results of the week and emphasized the importance of language learning in the modern education system.
The Republican Olympiad “Language Without Borders” was held in English, French, and German. The competition consisted of several stages and allowed for a comprehensive assessment of participants’ language proficiency, grammatical accuracy, text analysis skills, as well as oral and written communication abilities. Participants completed test tasks and demonstrated their knowledge.
In addition, the intellectual game “The Five Minds” was organized to develop students’ critical thinking, creativity, logical reasoning, and teamwork skills. Participants completed tasks in various fields, including language, culture, history, and logic.
The “Polyglot” quiz was designed for students proficient in multiple languages. Participants answered questions in different languages and performed translation tasks, showcasing their linguistic flexibility. The quiz contributed to expanding vocabulary and strengthening intercultural communication skills.
During the event, winners and prize-winners of the Republican Olympiad “Language Without Borders,” as well as the intellectual game “The Five Minds” and the “Polyglot” quiz, were awarded.
Kazbek Manshuk Aidoskyzy, a first-year student of the educational program “6B03102 – Cultural Studies” of the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, took part in the Olympiad and won the honorable third place.
The student’s academic supervisor is Senior Lecturer Sergazy Kudaybergenov.
The award was presented on behalf of Roza Dzhanysbekovna Abisheva, Member of the Board and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University.
This achievement clearly demonstrates the student’s dedication to learning and her high level of proficiency in foreign languages. The university community congratulates Manshuk on her success and wishes her further accomplishments!
The evening concluded with vibrant student performances, including French songs, modern dances, and cultural presentations that left a lasting impression on the audience.
