Child Protection is a Shared Responsibility of Society
During the holy month of Ramadan, charity and care take on special importance. In this context, an iftar event for students titled “Child Protection is a Shared Responsibility of Society” was organized.
The event was held within the framework of the 1st Sustainable Development Goal – No Poverty. Its main purpose was to support young people in need of social assistance, foster values of responsibility and compassion in society, and raise awareness about poverty issues.
The event was organized by lecturers of the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University: N. Mukan, M. Zhuzey, A.A. Mukhambet, and S.M. Kaupenbayeva.
During the iftar, a special table was arranged for students, and charitable assistance was provided. In addition, issues related to child protection, safeguarding their rights, and providing support were widely discussed. The values of unity, kindness, and mutual assistance were promoted among participants.
The organizers emphasized that such initiatives contribute significantly to reducing social inequality, supporting youth, and advancing the principles of sustainable development. Every good deed performed during Ramadan is a clear reflection of humanity and social unity.
