SDG 4.The national costume competition is a reflection of our people's rich heritage, culture, traditions, national identity, and way of life. In order to promote these values, a national costume competition was organized among the students of the Pre-University Training Department of the Faculty of Pre-University Education at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. This meaningful event was held as part of National Costume Day.

The purpose of the event is to promote national values among youth, introduce traditional Kazakh clothing styles, develop aesthetic taste, and increase respect and interest in national culture.

During the competition, participants ներկայաց (presented) national-style outfits, showcasing the richness of Kazakh culture and aesthetic taste. The participants were awarded in the following nominations: “Most Beautiful National Dress,” “Nauryz Beauty,” “Most Stylish National Design,” “True Kazakh Gentleman,” “Nauryz Sultan,” and “Most Fashionable National Costume.”

This event contributed to raising national awareness among young people, fostering respect for cultural heritage, and promoting traditions. Moreover, the competition held within the framework of National Costume Day enhanced participants’ pride in their culture and helped strengthen national identity.
