“National game — a national treasure!”
On 18 March 2026, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, in the Higher School of Economics and Business, at the Department of Business Technologies, under the guidance of lecturers Nurgul Hasanqyzy Maulina and Aruna Kerneyqyzy Bekmetova, there was an event "National game — a national treasure!", which became a special cultural platform reviving the national spirit. The main goal of this section was to provide a deeper understanding of the history of the people, their worldview and spiritual essence through national games. Students of group K4 attended this event with special preparation, dressed in Kazakh garments, vividly demonstrating the beauty of national fashion.
Jackets and shaman costumes adorned with ornamental accessories — all of this made an impression as a vivid expression of the cultural code passed down from ancestors. It was clear that each garment is not only a fashion element but also a spiritual heritage with its own history and deep meaning.
During the event, the national games – 'asyk atu' and 'tug of war' were organised, and participants, through these traditional childhood games, were immersed in the national environment and felt a special impact. This was not just a game, but an important cultural element that continues the continuity of generations and defines the essence of the nation. The event instilled a sense of national pride in the youth and increased their respect for their own culture. It was once again proven that national clothing is not only a symbol of the past but also an integral part of the present day.
