“Don’t Abandon Me, Mother” (“Tastamashy, Ana”)
On March 12, 2026, first-year master’s students of the educational program “7M02313 – Kazakh Philology” took part in an event organized within the framework of the “Sustainable Development Goals” and attended a screening of the film “Don’t Abandon Me, Mother” (“Tastamashy, Ana”). The educational event was organized by the course instructor B.R. Kulzhanova and doctoral intern S.D. Kosnazarova.
The main goal of the event is to promote the spiritual and moral values of young people and draw attention to pressing social problems in society. While watching the film, students deeply reflected on the value of life, family warmth, and kindness. After the screening, based on the main principles of the "Sustainable Development Goals," the film's idea was widely discussed among students.
Events in this format undoubtedly contribute greatly to the development of not only the professional competence of future philologists but also their civic position and empathy.
