Open Sports Event: “Health and Tradition Competition”
On March 20, 2026, in honor of National Sports Day, the Department of Cybersecurity and Cryptology organized a sports event titled “Health and Tradition Competition.” The event was held under the supervision of senior lecturer Akhmed G.Zh., with the active involvement of master’s students of the Information Security Systems program, Khamidulla A.S. and Amangeldi M.D., and with the participation of faculty students. The main purpose of the event was to promote a healthy lifestyle among students, popularize Kazakh national games, and demonstrate the connection between national traditions and physical education.
During the competition, participants tested their abilities in Kazakh national games, demonstrating agility, speed, endurance, and teamwork. In particular, such activities as tug of war and asyk shooting were organized. In addition, a quiz was held to promote national games, and the students took an active part in it. Explanatory discussions were also conducted on the educational value of national games and their role in the spiritual life of the nation and in the upbringing of the younger generation.
As part of the event, the importance of national games in modern society was widely discussed, as well as their role in fostering unity, courage, and quickness among young people. Participants noted that national sports help not only to strengthen health but also to preserve national identity.
This event was aimed at:
1. Increasing students’ interest in a healthy lifestyle;
2. Developing physical fitness and agility through national games;
3. Fostering respect for the traditions and cultural values of the Kazakh people.
