Rector took part in the celebration of Наурыз мейрамы

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in the main concert event in honor of the Nauryz holiday, which was held on Astana Square.

At the solemn event, akim of the city Darkhan Satybaldy, congratulating the residents of the city, noted the importance of Nauryz as a holiday of renewal, unity and continuity of generations.

"On this festive day, when the earth blooms and day equals night, distant relatives become closer and loved ones reunite. Our people have always greeted each new day with special respect",- Darkhan Satybaldy said.

The mayor of the city stressed that within the framework of the decade of Nauryznam, every day has its own deep meaning. These days are aimed at popularizing national values, reviving culture and traditions, as well as strengthening unity and mutual respect in society.

The concert program brought together famous Kazakhstani artists and creative teams. Famous songs were performed on the stage, and theatrical performances in the national style emphasized the festive mood and the spirit of spring renewal.

An exhibition consisting of six themed yurts was organized for the residents of the city. Here, visitors were presented with various directions: from historical heritage to modern technologies.

Large-scale events dedicated to the Nauryz holiday will last until March 23. These days, concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, meetings with cultural figures and traditional rituals of the Kazakh people will be presented to residents and guests of the city.
