Activity in writing a scientific article is the result of teamwork
Marzhan SULTANGAZINA, Senior Lecturer of the Department of plasma physics, nanotechnology and computer physics:
- Marzhan, what topic are you interested in, what area are you studying?
- I am now choosing and studying the topic" plasma in liquids and synthesis of composite nanostructures". This direction is located at the intersection of Plasma Physics, Materials Science and nanotechnology and is considered one of the most relevant today. This is because the processes of interaction of an electric discharge with a liquid medium make it possible to obtain new functional materials in an environmentally friendly, energy-saving and technologically simplified way. I have been working on this research since 2016. In the same year, I entered the magistracy under the educational program "nanotechnology and Nanomaterials" at the Department of plasma physics, nanotechnology and computer physics of kaznu, where I started my work under the scientific supervision of Professor Maratbek Gabdullin and associate professor Sagi Orazbayev.
Today, my scientific work is devoted to the study of the formation of carbon-immobilized nanocomposites, the influence of discharge parameters on the morphology and phase composition of particles. It also aims to identify their magnetic properties and application possibilities in areas such as catalytic processes, sensorics, biomedicine, water treatment and the creation of Functional Materials.
This scientific direction continues to develop rapidly, as it covers both fundamental and applied tasks. First, the main mechanisms of plasma formation in a liquid medium are studied. Secondly, the potential for using the obtained nanocomposites is expanding. This can be said to be a good opportunity to create elements for everything from Catalysis and sensorics to biomedicine, water purification, functional packaging and energy storage systems.
- You have published a lot of articles in international publications included in the Scopus database. This requires a lot of research and time. How do you manage to do all this?
– For me, activity in writing articles is primarily the result of teamwork. We work as part of a Scientific School under the guidance of experienced researchers, and each result is subjected to collective discussion and expert evaluation.
Scientific seminars of the Laboratory of dust plasma and plasma technologies, headed by academician, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Tlekkabyl Ramazanov, are held once a week at the Faculty of physics and technology of Al-Farabi kaznu. At these seminars, we analyze experimental data in detail, consider possible errors, clarify interpretations and form a further plan for work. Such a format allows you to significantly improve the quality of research and prepare articles that meet international scientific standards.
The ability to keep up with all the work is achieved thanks to clear planning, the correct distribution of tasks and continuous experimental, analytical improvement of skills. When the work is organized systematically and the team has a common scientific goal, publications become a natural stage of development of each project.
In addition, graduates of our scientific school actively cooperate with leading universities and research centers of the world, including Sorbonne University (France), Princeton University (USA), Nagoya University (Japan), University of Mons (Belgium), Orleans University (France), Kyoto Institute of Technology (Japan) and other institutions. Promotes the development of scientific culture in international cooperation and an increase in the level of published works.
– What is the responsibility of writing an article for an international publication?
- Writing a scientific article is really not an easy, but interesting process. The most labor-intensive is the correct analysis of the results and their presentation in a scientifically justified, accurate and understandable way. Each article goes through several stages of discussion, Corrections, and additions, which requires time and systematic work. However, joint work in the research team, exchange of views and analysis of data together can greatly facilitate this process and improve the quality of the final publication.
- Thank you for the conversation.
