ELBASY AWARDED AS HONORARY DOCTOR OF UNIVERSITY OF TSUKUBA
On October 23, 2019, the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, was awarded as Honorary Doctor of University of Tsukuba in Tokyo, the capital of Japan.
President of the University Kyosuke Nagata awarded Elbasy with an honorary doctorate diploma. The award ceremony was attended by senior officials of Japan, headed by Ryohei Miyata, Head of the Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan, professors from University of Tsukuba and Kazakhstani students undergoing internships in Tsukuba.
University of Tsukuba is among the top ten universities in Japan. And also one of the Japanese universities with the largest number of Nobel laureates. Currently, University of Tsukuba has established academic partnerships with seven universities in Kazakhstan, including an office in the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
At the end of the ceremony, Elbasy, in spite of a busy schedule, personally greeted and expressed good wishes to Kazakhstani students. And the students, in turn, received a deep impression, and could not hide their emotions from the meeting.
