On November 6, 2020 at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University the international round table discussion “Sh. Ualikhanov: a brilliant meteor of the Kazakh steppe "dedicated to the 185th anniversary of Sh. Ualikhanov's birth was held.
On this day, within the framework of the scientific and educational project " Epoch and Personality ", Multidisciplinary Scientific and Innovation Center: “Glossa” and the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University together with the Kazakhstan Public Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature and the Academy of Childre's Books "ALTAIR" united students, teachers and connoisseurs of Shokan Ualikhanov’s writings
The event was initiated by Nursulu Zhamalbekovna, Doctor of Philology, Professor of Al-Farab- Kazak National University.

Suleimenova E.D., Doctor of Philology, Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, President of the Kazakhstan Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature (Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty) opened the round table discussion. Then the floor was given to Shermatova S.N., Deputy Director for Methodological Work and Industrial Practice of the Professional College of Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University (Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek).
The program of the round table discussion  also included the interesting reports made by the professors: Kulmamatov D.S. (Uzbek State University of World Languages, Tashkent, Uzbekistan) and Narozhnaya V.D. (South Kazakhstan State Pedagogical University, Shymkent, Kazakhstan), associate professors Mukanova Z.A. (Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan), Buribaeva M.A. ( L.N. Eurasian National University Gumilyov, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan), Malikova Zh.D. (Eurasian Humanitarian Institute, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan), Amanzholova D.B. (, Almaty, Kazakhstan), as well as PhD students of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, I. Kuznetsov, G. Yanzhun, A. Iskakova
The participants and guests of the round table discussed the issues of linguistic personality, problems of studying scientific journalism, the linguodidactic aspect of studying Shokan Ualikhanov’s literary works. The fragment of the film "Legendary Chokan" (1984) was shown.
This event, that focuses on educational, scientific and cognitive aspects, is of a great educational value both for students and for a wide range of people who love Shokan Ualikanov’s writing.
