Tleugabylova. and a researcher at Nazarbayev University, Eselbaev Rauan Batyrovich, held an on-line event "Memory of the People!", dedicated to May 9, the 76th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet Union in World War II. The meeting was held with the participation of 1st year students in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English.

The hosts Torebekov Alikhan and Esenalina Korkem began the event with historical facts, recalling that Kazakhstan during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 was part of the USSR in the status of a union republic (Kazakh SSR), therefore it entered the war from the moment the army of Nazi Germany invaded the territory of the Soviet Union 22 June 1941. 1 million 200 thousand people were drafted into the ranks of the Red Army. in addition to 178 thousand who served in the USSR army. The warriors of Kazakhstan took part in all battles.

Komek Aygerim, Sultan Ulmira recited poems "Sokystan kaitkan soldier". Mahmut Akzer sang the song "Uly Otan sogysy". Mubarakova Dilyara, Bolatova Anel, Kanibek Adema spoke about their great-grandfathers, participants in the Great Patriotic War. Bolatova Anel and Nalibaeva Anar prepared presentations about heroes from Kazakhstan.

For the heroism shown on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, military orders and medals of the USSR were awarded to hundreds of thousands of soldiers from Kazakhstan, including 96,638 Kazakhs. 497 people (including 98 Kazakhs) were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Among them are Kazakh girls - machine gunner Manshuk Mametova, sniper Aliya Moldagulova. Kazakhstani pilots T.Ya. Begeldinov, L.I. Trouble, I.F. Pavlov, S.D. Lugansky twice became Hero of the Soviet Union.

In conclusion, the presenters declared 1 minute of silence in memory of the wars who did not return from the war.
